A Kid's Place Receives a $5000 Grant From the Greater Brandon Community Foundation

A Kid’s Place was recently presented a $5000 grant from the Greater Brandon Community Foundation at their 2012 An Evening of Hope & Charity Check Presentation.

The cocktail reception and dinner was held at the Florida Center and Botanical Gardens at the Florida State Fairgrounds on Saturday, November 3. 

Dottie Berger MacKinnon presented a very moving and compassionate keynote speech for which she received a standing ovation. She was also recognized for her dedication to improving the lives of foster children in our community.

Since its inception, the Greater Brandon Foundation has brought together corporate and small business leaders, along with individual leaders within the community to develop successful solutions and programs to meet local needs. Through innovative initiatives and annual fundraising programs, they continue to support over 50 registered charities and has distributed approximately over $1.5M to local charities in the Greater Brandon area.
