Rain couldn’t keep us away as volunteers, sponsors and golfers helped make it a memorable day of golf for A Kid’s Place 8th Annual Golf Classic Presented by Homes by WestBay.  The day started off with each golfer picking out their amazing Tee Gift Sponsored by Sullivan Benefits and enjoying a tasty lunch Sponsored by Lazydays RV, and nice cold beverages thanks to Siteline Building Solutions, our Beverage Sponsor.  Then golfers cruised the course thanks to our Cart Sponsor, The Bank of Tampa, and played fun golf games throughout the day thanks to our Longest Drive and Hole-in-One Sponsors MetLife and Amalie Motor Oil.  After a fun day on the course, golfers enjoyed a delicious dinner and some competitive bidding at our live and silent auctions.

Because of our generous sponsors and guests, we raised over $20,000 from the Give From Your Heart portion of the evening, which will complete our goal for building a new computer lab on site!  This will give our children a quiet dedicated space  to focus on their homework, receive tutoring, participate in virtual classes , write resumes and apply for jobs.  Special thanks to Laura and Fred Lay, The Lightning Foundation, Homes by WestBay, Just in Queso Foundation, Broadrick Family Foundation and those who joined us this evening to make classroom a reality for us!

We are excited to share that this year we netted over $70,000 for programs that help brothers and sisters staying at A Kid’s Place learn, grow, and thrive in a family like environment.  Thank you for believing in what we do and helping to make a difference, one foster child at a time!
