On Thursday, May 5, 2011 during their Annual Sales Meeting, 40 employees of Emmi Roth participated in a “team building” exercise of building bicycles for foster youth in our community. They worked with Kids Charity of Tampa Bay to arrange the purchase and delivery of the bicycles to the Sandpearl Resort, and also to identify agencies and youth who would be receiving them. Youth from Ready for Life, Connected by 25 and Camelot Community Care-Independent Living Services worked alongside the employees to build the bicycles before taking them to other foster youth.

Thank you to the management and employees of Emmi Roth for making the dream of a bicycle a reality for so many of our foster youth and others that made this initiative possible, including the Melting Pot who provide helmets for the bike recipients and the Wal-Mart located of Causeway Blvd. in Brandon, FL, who made the acquisition of forty bicycles a simple and economical process.
