Sen. Tom Lee
Sabal Homes of Florida, Inc.
Senator Tom Lee has lived and worked in the Brandon area for over forty years. He attended Hillsborough County public schools and graduated from Hillsborough Community College and the University of Tampa. He has been heavily involved at Sabal Homes, his family’s construction business, for nearly 25 years.
In 1996, with the support of his friends and family, he ran for the Florida Senate to represent the people of our community in Tallahassee. Earning the respect of his colleagues, he achieved a great honor in 2004, when he was selected to serve as President of the Florida Senate.
Again in 2012, voters decided to return him to the Florida Senate. Shortly after taking the oath of office, the Senate President appointed him to chair the Senate Judiciary Committee, to serve as Deputy Majority Leader and on eight other Senate committees.
Tom lives in Brandon with his wife, Circuit Court Judge Laurel Lee, and their children.
