Fred Lay is Owner and President of Construction Services, Inc. of Tampa. He is a Tampa native and has been a Certified General Contractor since 1995. He has overseen over $250 million in commercial construction.
Fred currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay, Inc. He also created the CSI Cares program, which reaches the community through volunteering. Fred and his wife are recipients of the Dottie Berger MacKinnon Guardian Angel Award as well as the Lightning Community Hero Award.
Family is extremely important to Fred, and he is the proud father of three daughters, age 6, 26, and 28. When Fred was only two days old he was adopted by a 50-year old single mother, who was a cigar maker in Tampa for 40 years. Fred honored his mother’s commitment and dedication to children by adopting a little girl when he turned 50-years old who he named Daisy, in honor of his mother.
