Joe Troy is a Senior Operating Advisor at Apax Partners, a global private equity firm based in London and New York. Prior to Apax, Joe was Chairman and CEO of Boasso Global, Inc. Prior to Boasso, Joe was EVP & CFO of Quality Distribution and held leadership positions with Walter Industries, Inc. including EVP & CFO. Earlier in his career, Mr. Troy held corporate banking positions with NationsBank and predecessor banks. Joe is on the advisory board of University of Tampa’s Sykes School of Business and is a member of the CEO Council of Tampa Bay.

Joe currently serves on several corporate boards including “Depot Connect International”, a Tampa-based industrial services firm, “Coalfire”, a Seattle-based cyber security firm and “Nova Data Solutions”, an Insurtech business based in Philadelphia.  He is a founding board member of A Kid’s Place and has served continuously since its inception. Mr. Troy was Board Chair of A Kid’s Place for four years, immediately succeeding founder Dottie Berger MacKinnon after serving as her Vice Chair since its inception in 2009. Joe has been involved with numerous charitable organizations since arriving in Tampa in 1993 and has been active in supporting child welfare causes after meeting Dottie in 2000. Mr. Troy previously served on the boards of Joshua House, Friends of Joshua House Foundation, and Kids Charity of Tampa Bay.

Joe lives in the Tampa Bay area with his wife Debbie and their three children: Michael, Madison and Rachel.
