Senator Tom Lee has lived and worked in Hillsborough County for over forty years. He attended Hillsborough County public schools and graduated from Hillsborough Community College and the University of Tampa. He has been heavily involved at Sabal Homes, his family’s construction business, for nearly 30 years.
In 1996, with the support of his family and friends, he ran for the Florida Senate to represent the people of our community in Tallahassee. Earning the respect of his colleagues, he was selected to serve as President of the Senate in 2004. Again in 2018, voters decided to return him to the Florida Senate, where he now represents District 20.
Tom is married to Laurel Lee, who was recently appointed Florida’s Secretary of State, and they are raising three children.
