A founding Board Member, and recipient of the 2019 Dottie Berger MacKinnon Award, Tracy Sheehan passionately advocated for those who                    needed it most and gave a voice to the voiceless. She was known to be a dog lover, loyal, and determined when it came to law and foster children.
On September 18th, what would have been Tracy’s 61st birthday, family and friends gathered at A Kid’s Place to celebrate her
life and legacy. A tree was planted in her memory along with a plaque that will serve as a constant reminder that her legacy will
live on through the many children who will walk, skate, and run past it every day. Rest well Tracy and Happy Heavenly birthday!

In honor of Judge Sheehan, a Bright Beginnings Award was created for teens aging out of A Kid’s Place. This year, two recipients were awarded                $1,000.00 each to assist in their transition to college.
