IMPROVEMENTS TO FOSTER CARE FACILITIES
CDBG PROGRAM FUNDING AGREEMENT

A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay (AKP) is undertaking a project and seeking a qualified Contractor to perform the following Scope of Work: Renovations shall be made to several buildings and the associated property grounds with interior and exterior improvements located at 1715 Lithia Pinecrest Rd. Brandon, FL 33511. The improvements will include the following: A new roof to address leaks, interior painting of walls and ceilings; renovation of the kitchen and one bathroom; replacement of light fixtures; replace carpet with new flooring. Upgrades to administrative building and classroom to address flooring and carpet replacement. All interior doors will be painted. Removal and trimming of trees for safety concerns

It is AKP intent to seek fixed-price, lump-sum bids for all work described in the plans and specifications. All bid documents can be obtained Click HERE for RFP Packet

A mandatory Bid conference will be held in person at the project site Tuesday, August 9th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. (EST). An overview of the project and site tour will take place. All CDC COVID-19 recommendations shall be in full effect for attendance. Submit all questions to AKP at [email protected] by August 11, 2022. All responses will be answered by August 15th, 2022. Sealed Bids need to be submitted in person to address listed by 4:00 EST on Friday, August 26th, 2022. Bid and attachments shall be made attention to AKP and submitted in sealed envelopes marked “Bids for Improvements to Foster Care Facilities”. Each bid must be completed and submitted in accordance with the instructions to Bidders.

All Bidders will be notified of the results of the review on or before Friday, September 2nd, 2022.

Respondents are instructed not to contact A Kid’s Place Board Members. Failure to comply with this instruction may result in disqualification.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS / PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTOR(S)
This project, will be federally funded, in part or whole through the Hillsborough County, Affordable Housing Services, with CDBG funds from HUD and as such, bidder must comply with Presidential Executive Order 11246, as amended by Executive Order 11375; Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended; the Davis-Bacon Act of 1968, as amended; the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act; the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act and all other applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. All bidders must adhere to 2 CFR 200.317 – 2 CFR 200.326. The Awarded Contractor shall abide by Equal Opportunity of Employment and non-discrimination in the workplace. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it is determined to be in the public interest to do so, and if it determined that such bid does not represent the bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than three such bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance.
