The quiet waters of Tampa Bay hold secrets most of us would rather not know, but when James Bond appears out of the depths wearing a tuxedo under his wet suit, we know this isn’t going to be an ordinary evening! This year’s annual “Fostering Hope” Gala will be held at the Glazer Family Foundation Jewish Community Center in Tampa on Friday, April 21st and is the backdrop for a themed evening of mystery, espionage, and intrigue…James Bond style. The Fostering Hope event has become a much-heralded event for supporters of A Kid’s Place, and this year promises to be better than ever. Gala Chair Connie Gage and her committees are planning an evening of dinner and dancing (and perhaps a little mystery) all to raise critical funds for the children at A Kid’s Place.
This annual event is a chance to break out the formal wear; arriving in an Astin Martin is suggested but not required. Did you know that James Bond was shot at 4662 in the course of his movie career? That he slept with 53 women and made 378 kills (resulting in 950 related deaths)? No one knows what the evening may hold, but guaranteed you’ll have a good time while enjoying the beautiful new JCC facility in Tampa and raising funds for foster children from all over the greater Tampa Bay area. Please consider purchasing a ticket to Fostering Hope, 2017: to quote “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service:”
Draco: “My apologies for the way you were brought here. I wasn’t sure you’d accept a formal invitation.”
Bond: “There’s always something formal about the point of a pistol.”
No pistols, but formal invitations will be forthcoming.
