Daisy Lay may be little but her heart is big, as she follows in the footsteps of her parents Laura & Fred Lay in her own philanthropic way.
To celebrate her 6th birthday she asked partygoers to bring new shoes to the children residing at A Kid’s Place in leu of presents. Daisy collected 65 pairs of new shoes from her birthday celebrations. Daisy said, “It made my heart feel good to help others.”

Can you tell me a bit about your birthday party? We made pizzas and were all bakers at Let them Eat Cake! Then we went to Disney for a Royal Celebration!
Charley said, “the cake was super yummy!”
What did you like best about hosting a shoe drive? Giving it to other people

If you could only eat one thing for a whole week, what would you choose? Doughnuts
What games do you like to play? Mouse Trap, Connect Four, Candy Land

What is your favorite thing to do with mom & dad? Go to Disney, Minnie Mouse is my favorite character!
Charley excitedly shared they are going to Disney for her birthday too & her favorite character was Maleficent!
If you could be any color crayon in a crayon box what color would you choose? Silver
Charley’s favorite color is gold
If you could be a superhero, what would you super power be? Rainbow Power and spread rainbows everywhere!
What do you want to be when you grow up? A Mom!
What is your favorite subject in school? Science
What are you going to be for Halloween? For Book-O-Ween I am going to be Marie Curie. She was the first woman to win a Noel Prize and the only one to win twice. She also discovered Polonium.
Any advice to share with others? Be kind to every single kid you know because they see you as a leader.
