The holidays can be an especially hard time for children in foster care. While others celebrate traditions and togetherness, many foster children face loneliness, uncertainty, or memories of past hardships. Some children in foster care may never have celebrated the holidays at all or ever received a gift before. It’s times like these where it is especially important to show extra care and create a sense of belonging for these kids. And with the help of our amazing community, we were able to do just that.
Because of you, every child at AKP has had a magical holiday season this year. Thank you for donating, wrapping, and helping spread holiday cheer on our campus. Whether you hosted a drive or came by to sort through gifts, we couldn’t have done it without you! Our kids were so full of joy to wake up on Christmas morning to everything on their wish lists. Our kids got to make gingerbread houses, eat delicious food, take photos with Santa, go to the 1st Annual Christmas parade in Brandon, seeing shining Christmas lights and so much more.
Because of you, our children were given a holiday season filled with joyful memories, laughter, love and lots of holiday magic that will stay with them through adolescent and beyond to help break the cycle of child abuse. Thank you for taking the time, and care to make sure our kids had a holiday season they will never forget.
THANK YOU & HAPPY HOLIDAYS! ❤️
