At A Kid’s Place, we know how important it is for children living in foster care to feel safe, loved, and free to simply enjoy being kids. Recently, some of our children spent a day at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and it was full of moments they’ll be talking about for a long time.
The kids rode rides with their siblings and caregivers and explored the animal exhibits. The children especially enjoyed the flamingo exhibit! The outing occurred during the Busch Gardens Mardi Gras celebration and the kids happily caught beads and watched the elaborate parade.
Days like this play a special role in helping our kids heal. Many have faced difficult experiences before arriving at A Kid’s Place. For many of the children, this is the first time they had been to a theme park. Giving our kids opportunities to create positive memories reminds them that they are surrounded by people who care deeply about their happiness.
These outings also help strengthen sibling bonds. Keeping brothers and sisters together is central to our mission, and shared experiences like this give them the chance to try new things and make memories side by side.
We are grateful to our community of donors and supporters who make special days like this possible. Your generosity helps give our children the chance to experience joy and the wonder of discovery. If you’d like to help create more moments like this, we invite you to support our mission by making a donation today, because every child deserves a childhood filled with wonder!
