Volunteer & Get Involved | A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay

Ways to Volunteer

At A Kid’s Place, there are countless ways to make a difference in the lives of brothers and sisters in foster care.

Whether you choose to fundraise, host a drive, shop for items we need, leverage your social networks, or volunteer your time and talents, your involvement creates a lasting impact.

Fundraise for Our Kids

Community-led fundraisers are a fun and powerful way to bring people together in support of our children. From golf tournaments to art shows, school carnivals to 5K runs, your creativity fuels our mission. If you have any questions, please contact Jenna Cannone at 813-381-3839 or [email protected].

Host a Personal or Community Fundraiser

Rally your friends, family, coworkers, or club and designate the proceeds to A Kid’s Place. From golf tournaments and art shows to bake sales and trivia nights, your creativity can make a big difference for our kids.

Not up for planning an event?

That’s okay! You can also use our easy online fundraising tools to launch a peer-to-peer fundraiser that’s simple to share with your circle of friends, family, or coworkers. Every donation helps siblings in foster care heal, grow, and thrive together.

Pledge Your Birthday

Celebrate your big day by asking for donations instead of gifts. Throw a party, start a Facebook/Meta fundraiser, or create a fun challenge for your friends. The possibilities are endless, and 100% of proceeds go directly to the children we serve.

Host a Drive or Collection

Every week, our campus consumes over 75 boxes of cereal and washes over 250 loads of laundry! Drives are a great way to engage your school, business, church, or neighborhood while helping to meet everyday needs.

Make it fun – turn your drive into a friendly contest between departments, classrooms, or groups to see who can collect the most!

Seasonal Gift Drives

Holidays can be an especially difficult time for children in foster care. Hosting a holiday gift drive helps bring normalcy, joy, and comfort — whether it’s a favorite toy, new pajamas, or basic necessities every child should have.

Essential Items

Pantry staples, cleaning supplies, new clothing, and shoes.

Please see our guidelines for donated items here.

Gift Cards

Gift cards to fast food, movie theaters, and local experiences give our kids the joy of outings and special treats.
