Over the past five months the children of A Kid’s Place have remained on campus with very limited contact to the outside world. As an organization we have remained committed to creating innovative ways to keep our kids happy, safe, and entertained. While we have succeeded in many ways in providing a sense of normalcy, the social disconnect does have a negative emotional impact on the children.
We understand the uncertainties of returning to school during this pandemic and we empathize with families and educators. Rest assured that we have done our best to plan for every possible scenario to ensure our kids safety; mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Our children are very excited to return to school on Monday and although we share in their excitement we still face many obstacles in providing the necessities for a successful school year in whatever that entails.
