Founded in 2009, A Kid’s Place is a unique safe haven for children in the foster care system. Its home-like, residential program assists children from birth to age 22 who were removed from their parent’s care because of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. In addition to offering services to meet the social, medical, educational, and psychological needs of foster children, A Kid’s Place puts a special emphasis on keeping siblings together in a stable, and nurturing environment.

Funds raised from the Fostering Hope Gala directly assist in providing essential daily health and welfare needs of the children A Kid’s Place serves, including food and clothing, personal care necessities, fun activities, and maintenance needs for A Kid’s Place residential facility. Since its inception, A Kid’s Place has provided care to 1660 children — 87% of them sibling groups – and 735 families. Additionally, children have been provided over 270,000 bed nights “safe harbor”,  including warm beds, clean clothes and pajamas, and healthy meals.
